![]() Difficulty does initially motivate and there is nothing wrong with a challenge, but beeing scaringly unable to move through the world without beeing challenged even by a mass rat for about a third of the game, and after that going to near untouchable by spamming black hole does not make for interesting combat. Difficulty balancing across the game is terrible. Exploring can be interesting, a lot of legendary weapons and little text stories to be discovered. The ending felt rather underwhelming, preparing a lot for Elex 2. Quite nicely fleshed out story and background, but it would have needed to be presented with more drama and tension build up. Gameplay mechanics like stealing have been interesting since gothic, but they are starting to get a bit tired. The voicing in (in english) is found to be very good. And after they are done, they have nothing more to say, except sometimes repeating comments regarding the current area. Companions lack quite a lot in emotional attachment, and their quests are hardly very good, except for Duras. What are they fighting for? Interesting quests and interactions full of consequences. Sadly it has no children which destroys a huge amout of credibility, their absence is never explained, and no one characters seems to be bothered by it.
